A Little Bit About Myself
I have always had a passion for working with Children and Youth from all walks of life. It truly is a gift from GOD! The idea of Precious Diamonds surfaced in 2013 when I hosted my first session at a library with four incredible young ladies who are now adults. My focus gears towards middle, high school, and Young adult ladies. These ages are complex for young girls because they are trying to figure out their identities.
Sadly, I could not continue my meetings because my focus became being a caregiver for my mom. However, I was still able to check in on my ladies and do more work with the Children and Youth at St. Mark UMC, various churches, many after-school programs, and summer camps in East Baton Rouge.
It has been seven years since the official start of Precious Diamonds Mentoring before re-establishing in 2020! As you know, 7 is the number of completion, and I am ready to complete the task set before me. GOD has given me continuous signs to go further with this ministry.
*I am not a licensed therapist* However, I am trained in Mental Health First Aid and will provide accredited information as needed for anyone who may need additional assistance.
